When a blood trail runs dry, the hunt doesn’t have to end. Buckeye Recovery uses a thermal drone to quickly scan woodlots, fields, and thick cover to help locate your deer as fast and ethically as possible.

Typical call: $300 base to come out, plus a $100 recovery bonus when your deer is successfully recovered. Follow-up scans (if needed) are $150.

Thermal Deer Recovery

Primary service: using a high-resolution thermal drone to search for wounded or unrecovered deer in fields, timber, thickets, and tough terrain.

Price: $300 Base + $100 Recovery Bonus

Best used within a few hours of the shot, or the next morning if backing out overnight.

Follow-Up Scan

Optional return visit to re-scan the area after giving the deer extra time if the initial search is inconclusive and conditions allow.

Price: $150

Ideal if the deer is believed to still be alive or if tracking sign is minimal.

Deer Herd Analysis

A dedicated aerial survey focused on understanding your deer herd and overall property use. Ideal for landowners and hunters who want hard data, not guesswork.

Basic Survey

  • $2 per acre ($250 minimum)
  • Buck / Doe Count (Ratio)
  • Photo and Video Documentation
  • Travel: +$0.67 per mile for locations beyond a 60 mile round trip

Add-On: Aerial Photos (Optional)

Simple overhead drone photos of the property or stand area for your own scouting and records.
